"Keys to Holiness: Meditations on the First Letter of Peter": a moving and rich treasure of spiritual inspiration. "Keys to Holiness: Meditations on the First Letter of Peter" is the creation of published author, Joyce Pranger Venaglia, a third-order Franciscan, known to many as Sister Joyce and a worldwide evangelist. Active in ministry since 1972, she has shared her amazing testimony and given conferences, retreats, and seminars throughout the country and beyond to members of all different religious affiliations.

Venaglia is particularly known for her prayer and healing ministry. In 1974 she founded the Hermitage Ministries, which is operating in California as the Christophori Institute, an ecumenical center for teaching the various aspects of the interior life. As spiritual director, she has personally guided many priests, ministers, religious, and bishops on the way to a deeper interior life. Joyce is the author of several other inspirational books, including "There Will Be Joy in the Morning," "Rise Early to Meet Your Lord," and "Wedded to God." Her recent book "Blessed" was published in 2012. More recently, her collection of poems was printed in a volume called "Ponderings of the Heart."

While a member of a cloistered community for eighteen years she observed the strictest disciplines of the interior life. Then, she lived as a hermit nun for ten years and through prayerful silence she absorbed the many teachings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, which are reflected in her many books and articles. In 1981, she married Dr. John Venaglia in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For the many years they were married, they ministered together till his passing in 2001. Joyce is now a widow and lives in Indio, California. Joyce is still active in her ministry, especially in her prayers. Many requests come to her daily. Her many other interests include art, gardening, and all the homemaking skills. She was chosen as an honored member of the Who's Who in 2006. Joyce has completed the Ministry Formation Program for the diocese as well as the Bishop Straling's Program. As a perpetual learner, she is constantly learning new skills and subjects.

Joyce's advice is "a day that something new hasn't been learned is a day lost."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Joyce Pranger Venaglia's new book is an uplifting and glorifying book designed to bring the reader closer to God in a deep loving relationship.

Venaglia shares, "Growing in a life of holiness in a fast-paced technical world means, first and foremost, to keep our minds and hearts focused on the living word, Jesus. This is exactly what the apostle Peter gives us in his two short but often overlooked letters."

In "Keys to Holiness," Dr. Joyce Venaglia unlocks for readers-in her own unique, simple style-a rich treasure from her years living a life of silence, prayer, and meditation. Dr. Joyce found each chapter, each verse, and each word to be a goldmine of spiritual inspiration leading to a life lived in deep union with God, which is possible for everyone seeking a deep love relationship with God. This volume does not cover all of Joyce's meditations on First Peter but is like a glimpse of the best that is yet to come. The book is not meant to be read as a novel, but slowly and prayerfully with a resolution to allow maybe just one key to penetrate deeply into one's heart and mind. In the process, one is transformed, as Peter was, into a living replica of the word, Jesus.
