PARADISE, Pa. - "Over the past 17 years, while running a bed and breakfast, we've been told some interesting stories by our guests and Amish neighbors," says author Joseph "Chool" Crawshaw, "The television reality shows regarding the Amish portray their culture inaccurately." He wrote "Amish Scrambled Eggs with Humor" (published by Xlibris) to educate readers about the Amish life, while entertaining them with hilarious events that really happened.

This is a book about a place where masks may be left at the door over which hangs the sign: Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends. "Everyone is welcome - no matter the age, color, creed, nationality, politics or faith persuasion," says Crawshaw, "People may originally go there to see the Amish, but they surprisingly find new friends and acceptance in a setting where they are greeted with a smile and a hug."

A combination of stories - some humorous, some sad, some serious, some thought-provoking and all true - "Amish Scrambled Eggs with Humor" relates the lives of the Crawshaw's guests and Amish neighbors at their inn, the Frogtown Acres Bed and Breakfast in the midst of Old Order Amish country, outside the towns of Paradise and Intercourse. An unscripted, eye-opening look into a different culture, the book presents a solution for the many ills of the nation, which tend to arise from simple misunderstandings.
