MANDEVILLE, La.

John Macgregor once wrote a psychoanalytic article called "Invisible Walls," which depicted the maladaptive personality of Ian McNulty. This written work prompted him to write "The Antibiography of Ian McNulty" (published by Xlibris).

"The Antibiography of Ian McNulty" revolves around a playboy-physician who is inwardly walled off from people and from life but finds his resurrection by facing his inner demons and by being put through some shades of grey by a girl named Rebecca.

"Everyone walls off himself/herself from life and others at times. This book will appeal to mature readers as it contains vivid sexual and murderous fantasies that help the main character to face his inner demons while he interacts with people in his life," says the author.

Providing new and entertaining knowledge about how the conflicted mind works, "The Antibiography of Ian McNulty" is written by a senior psychoanalyst with special insights into maladaptive personality traits and how they can be changed.

About the Author
John Macgregor lived a Tom Sawyer boyhood amidst moss-draped oaks and sugarcane plantations alongside the Mississippi River in South Louisiana. At age 12, he was uprooted from this idyllic childhood and transplanted to the big city life of New Orleans where his love of history and the old South flourished. He has a double major in history and foreign languages from the University of New Orleans. He also went to medical school. Today, he practices psychiatry and psychoanalysis in Mandeville, Louisiana, a suburb on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain across from Greater New Orleans. Besides visiting his children and grandchildren, his greatest interest is traveling the world with his wife. He also enjoys golf, fine dining, and a sip or two of single malt Scotch after an eleven-and-a-half hour workday.
