Author Jennifer Hashmi adds to her collection of publications with a new children's book about adventure and the power of friendship, "Sonny, Gogo, Tobo, and Their Adventures" (published by AuthorHouse).

"The stories are about mystery and adventure, risk and resolution, enterprise and ingenuity; about solving problems and about celebrating positive outcomes in the time-honored practice of a feast for everyone to attend," Hashmi says.

The Sonny stories depict a civilization that lives in harmony and mutual cooperation. Disasters occur sometimes, but a little ingenuity and enterprise can overcome those problems. The Sonny stories discuss the ways in which the bad habits and attitudes of human beings can damage the planet. They show that people have choices in the way in which they live. In each story there is a dilemma, which the children are able to solve. The stories are meant to show that people are not just puppets; people's choices can affect the world in which they live.

"The children enjoy a happy secure home life," Hashmi says. "For children of our world the book offers a vision of how things can be if we choose to make them so."
