CrossBooks is pleased to announce the nationwide release of HIS: A Memoir of Abuse, Forgiveness, and Discovering God's Love by Jaye Wiegold whose remarkable real-life story of hardships turned to hope will inspire readers toward a redeemed life of worshiping the Lord.

HIS vividly details Wiegold's early years as a little girl growing up in a chaotic alcoholic environment. Physically and sexually abused as a child and sometimes left homeless, she became depressed and promiscuous, later suffering a difficult marriage and divorce, the loss of four babies through miscarriage, and a suicide attempt during young adulthood. However, an eventual understanding of Jesus transformed her, teaching Jaye to see life through His eyes.

"It's a love story for sure," said Wiegold. "When we are convinced of God's love for us we become HIS. My stories aren't 'Hallmark card stories.' They are real-the good, the difficult, the obedient, the disobedient. It isn't exactly, 'I met Jesus and life was perfect.' But through it all, God's faithfulness is always there. I want people to see in this book the amazing power of God's healing and redemption."

Paul Mikos, publisher at CrossBooks for LifeWay Christian Resources, said, "We're excited to work with Jaye and her ministry. HIS will resonate with women who still wake up every day dealing with scars from the past. They can find answers to questions like, 'Does God really love me? Can I trust Him? Is healing from years of abuse and suffering even possible?'"

Wiegold added, "HIS is for anyone who has ever turned their back on God and might believe they have lost the right to be in His presence. It's for those who desperately need to know that Jesus is real, who need to know it is okay to ask God questions."
