It's rumored that Franco left the film due to a disagreement with Millennium, who wouldn't approve the crew Franco picked for the movie. Nu Image/Millennium is financing the film.

The low-budget film is an adaptation of Andre Dubus III's 2008 novel, and "explores family and sexual values over the course of a night set in a Florida script club." Emilia Clarke just signed on to play a young stripper who brings her daughter to work one night. The film features three distinct stories, interwoven throughout.

Franco will next be seen on the big screen in This Is the End, with upcoming projects including Richard Peter Johnson, Child of God, Black Dog, Red Dog, Homefront, Good People, Third Person, Queen of the Desert and Everything Will Be Fine.

He is well known for his portrayal of Peter Parker's best friend in the Spider-Man franchise and has also appeared in As I Lay Dying, Oz the Great and Powerful, Lovelace, Spring Breakers, The Iceman, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Green Hornet, 127 Hours, Howl, Pineapple Express, and the popular TV series Freaks and Geeks, among many other credits.
