Making use of his God-given talent, author Horace S. Mallette decided to share his love of writing and supernatural fiction through his literary debut. The first of a planned five-part series of novellas, "Hunters of Satan's Monsters: Legend of the Rolling Calf" (published by Xlibris) introduces readers to a man who, having an open mind and a brave heart to believe, steps forward into the unknown with the only reality being his immeasurable faith.

A man discovers that not only is he not human, but he is a hybrid humanoid being with latent supernatural powers that are soon to be active. He is found, recruited and trained by a centuries-old secret organization that engages and battles with evil-from monsters and minions to demons. But evil is also a well-organized and intelligent group and the imminent battles between the two factions will be executed not only here on earth, but also in all other realms.

In another captivating tale that pits good against evil, this novella series opener lets readers see how good overcomes bad without being tarnished or tainted. With a hero who rises to the challenges of life with courage, flexibility and adaptability; this narrative highlights how one should accept changes and compromises, but still sticks to his core principles in life. Highly intriguing and unpredictable, "Hunters of Satan's Monsters: Legend of the Rolling Calf" primarily follows the century-old battle of good against evil while tackling a multitude of other themes seamlessly as well.
