In her memoir, "Scarlet Waters" (published by Xlibris), author Holiday Shapero reflects on the myriad of experiences, moments and observations that constitute her life. This is the first book in a five-book series that shares her recklessly bold journey through life as she went through it with passion, nonconformity and a relentless commitment to never give up.

Taking place on the East Coast, beginning in New York City and moving about through New England, it shares how Shapero was shaped by her beginning. It depicts her molding experiences with her brother, Jake, and her outlaw husband, Marco, as they are the ones that her soul bonded with most deeply. She shares about the avalanche of trials and tribulations that were hurled her way, and how she stood to face it.

"This book may appeal to people in the same way that the story of Robin Hood appeals to people," author Shapero points out. "It shows readers that the conventional way is not the only way and it inspires people to become courageous, to stand strong against all odds and to never forget that 'justice' is a worthy song to sing."

Poignant, uplifting and powerful, "Scarlet Waters" is a story that hopes to touch people in numerous ways each time they read it. It describes both the brilliant and treacherous ways found in life and encourages readers to take heart and courageously face what come before them.

About the Author
Holiday Shapero first began writing "Scarlet Waters" in 1989. Every time she got a ways into it, she ripped it to shreds. She even completed it twice, but then burned it. In 2013, after her husband's death, she ran into J Kirk, whom she calls a "modern day Jack Kerouac," in a bar. There, he commended her writing - an act that encouraged her to get her book published.
