Air Force personnel Beth Shapur and Jeff Burkiss abandoned their duties during the Vietnam War when an imminent threat to their lives began chasing them. In the course of their escape, they entered a place called ZOAR II, a secret United States government biosphere, where they ended trapped for ten years. They must adjust to the isolation while rearing a child and trying to find the exit code. Upon learning the way out, they are forced to assume new names and move to Seaside, California. There they discover the two men responsible for their decade of imprisonment. Where would this discovery lead them?

With its richly drawn characters and intricate plot, this book takes readers into a difficult journey from North Dakota to California. They will find out how two people learn to adapt to changing conditions in order to survive.

A compelling and fast-paced read, "Two Ports in a Storm" will cater for one's need of mystery and adventure, imparting to them the importance of perseverance and faith.
