Author Henry Morales, a black Puerto Rican American, is currently a print model and member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio. While he is proud of where he is now, he has come a long way, and dealt with many struggles in his life.

Morales invites readers to experience his journey through life - a journey that takes him through the streets of New York, into the hands of the law and to a place of redemption - in his new memoir, "Journey of a Man: Packing Sneakers and a Gun" (published by iUniverse).

Morales' memoir will be featured at the 2014 Frankfurt Book Fair, an event attended annually by thousands.

Throughout "Journey of a Man", Morales chronicles the many experiences that made him the person he is today. Beginning with his childhood and ending with his recent career successes, his memoir leaves no stone unturned. Readers will watch as Morales derives vengeful joy from criminal experiences, serves time in prison and ultimately finds his way to a place of beauty and forgiveness.

An excerpt from "Journey of a Man":

"We stood there watching, fascinated, as the fire spread to the couch. By the time we realized the fire was getting out of control, it was too late. We ran out into the hall. Instead of going out the way we came in, we ran up the stairs, intending to go through the stoop entrance. At this point, I was beginning to panic, but I believed that my only choice was to follow Ritchie and hope that he could get us out."
