Generation Y, people born between 1980 and 2000, has been praised, misunderstood and analyzed more than any other generation, says a March 2014 article on Forbes.com.

"In summary, this is the most self-expressive, diverse, and connected generation of its kind," says Forbes writer Shama Kabani. "And, regardless of what we think of them, this generation is the future."

Like every generation, Generation Y, more commonly referred to as the Millennials, has its doubts and misgivings about the future. Author Hailey Jordan Yatros, a millennial herself, sees a bright future ahead for Millennials. In her new book, "The Millennial Makeover: Who Are We and Who Do We Want to Become?" (published by Balboa Press), Yatros speaks directly to Generation Y in a candid voice to challenge and encourage them to pursue their dreams and ambitions.

"The Millennial Makeover" presents a well-rounded critique of Millennials and addresses many of the stereotypes surrounding this generation. Yatros aims to encourage her readership to let go of their negative thoughts and embrace the possibilities of the future.

Using a blend of personal experiences and interviews with other Millennials, Yatros praises the authentic self, often advising her readers to "march to the beat of their own drums."

"I have always had an undying love for people," reveals Yatros, "and I've had to overcome a lot in my short life, and I have conquered. So my inspiration with this book was to help young adults become successful their way, no matter what their age."
