NEW YORK, April 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Award winning author Gary Nilsen's Young Adult Urban Fantasy Novel will be released on April 26, 2016 published through Alexian Books, Inc.

The story's hero is 17-year old Timothy Brennan, a young man who's reached the end of his rope. Just as he's about to take his own life, he encounters a fae creature who unmasks the truth about his mother's death.This sets Timothy on a journey, one that reveals his unknown abilities and puts him on a course to save another world, and perhaps himself.

"I wanted to tell a story that would emphasize that you can succeed no matter what your disabilities or situation. Strength doesn't come from others, it comes from within," explained Nilsen.

Alfheim is Nilsen's debut novel. He holds an MFA in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University, has published articles on marine archaeology, and authored a previous fantasy short story titled Nether Lands. While working on his Master's Degree, Nilsen was awarded the university's Robert J. Begiebing prize for a writer who demonstrated high literary promise.
