Depicting the atrocity of unfair judgment manifested within society, Fred Couzens weaves the story of woman who is sent to a mental asylum because of an erroneous verdict. "Blood on Their Hands" (published by Xlibris) is a tale of untainted truth clashing against an onslaught of exploitations crafted by dishonest establishments.

Set in the early 1900s, Fred Couzens gives readers the intelligent and trustworthy Emily Cox, who just landed a job as a secretary for Mission Dolores in San Francisco. She finds her new life to be rewarding and good - until her mother pries into her private life. Emily then finds herself in a chasm of lies and exploits that falsely lead the Supreme Court to send her into the state mental asylum devoid of any justice. There, she learns about the shocking malpractice of the asylum's medical procedures as it involves horribly treating their patients like lab rats. Even with all the death threats, Brad Porter, upright reporter and Emily's college friend, uncovers the heinous crimes and he wages and a battle against the Superior Court, which then leads to a confrontation with the governor over a pardon for Emily.

Equally thrilling as it is emotion-stirring, this story of truth and corruption will make readers shiver with excitement as they find out what happens to the unfortunate Emily Cox.
