Fiction Author Jim Rubart Wins Book of the Year at 2016 Christy Awards

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) congratulates Thomas Nelson fiction author Jim Rubart on winning Book of the Year at the 2016 Christy Awards for his novel, "The Five Times I Met Myself." The Christy Advisory Board presented the awards online on June 27, 2016 at ChristyAwards.com.

The Thomas Nelson and Zondervan fiction team received a combined three additional Christy Awards for their contributions to various genres of Christian fiction.

  • "The Wedding Chapel" by Rachel Hauck (Zondervan) in Contemporary Fiction
  • "Twisted Innocence" by Terri Blackstock (Zondervan) in Suspense Fiction
  • "The Five Times I Met Myself" by Jim Rubart (Thomas Nelson) in Speculative Fiction

Additionally, the company was well represented at the 2016 INSPY Awards. On June 29, 2016, the Advisory Board announced the winners online at INSPYs.com, and the Thomas Nelson and Zondervan fiction teams, as well as the Zonderkidz children's and YA publishing division, received a combined three award recognitions.

The following titles won their category:

  • "The Dandelion Field" by Kathryn Springer (Zondervan) for Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense
  • "The Bones Will Speak" by Carrie Stuart Parks (Thomas Nelson) for Suspense
  • "An Uncertain Choice" by Jody Hedlund (Zondervan) for Literature for Young Adults
