FITZROY, Australia

Having been fortunate to witness him during the last 30 years with his self-expression and performance, author Eugenie Knox developed the idea of producing Henry Maas' biography when she found one of his scrapbooks of past shows of the Busby Berkleys with Sam Angelico, Peaches La Crème and Noel Busby. "Henry Maas" (published by Xlibris AU) delves deep into the life of this iconic man. It depicts the elegance and artistry found within his self-expression, performance with music and singing and his paintings.

Henry Maas, a Bohemian artist, visionary and leader of the pack, always moves forward, trail blazing his way into unchartered territory, with others being pulled along by his magnetism and talent. In this biography, readers will learn that Henry's social ethos does not stop with coffees, but is right across the board to all aspects of city life being a community with people first, enjoying nature, music and the arts in simple style. It describes how his life has been lived entirely with creative force, allowing the creative urge to take hold no matter where it leads - sculpture, painting, singing, dancing and comedy.

"Henry Maas is all about change. When to act, and when to stand still," says Knox. "This book is relevant for anyone who has forgotten they also have the creative spirit within, and to allow this aspect of themselves the freedom to be expressed."

"Henry Maas" imparts to readers a smile, a yearning and a feeling that anything is possible when they set their creativity free. This is a fascinating memoir that will interest anyone involved in the arts.
