Esther Pinder, a native of the Bahamas and single mother, has completed her new book "Taking a Stand": an assemblage of poetry written to inspire readers to stand strong on things in life that they believe in, and help them think more how life's decisions affect them and those around them.

Esther was inspired by her views on life and her observations. "I hope as people read this book, they will take another look at life and find the humor in every 'stop and think'."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Esther Pinder's relatable collection is taken from the events and experiences that everyone encounters. The poem "People Watching" was written while sitting at an airport and observing those who hustled about. "Ever Stop and Think" was written in the quiet and stillness of the night while thinking about life.

Also included is a chapter on friendship, inspired by reuniting with a childhood friend. Other chapters are dedicated to daily life issues people deal with and never give a second thought.

Readers who wish to experience this noteworthy work can purchase "Taking a Stand" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
