Ernest D. Simela Releases Book for Young Readers

"Struggle to the Top of the Mountain" (published by AuthorHouse) by pediatrician and author Ernest D. Simela, M.D. is a book for both young and old readers, who have ever had a dream or ambition they wanted to achieve in life.

Simela tells the story of himself - a man chasing the American Dream - told from his perspective as an African immigrant to the U.S. His story illustrates the power of setting goals and working hard to achieve those goals with focus and dedication. The story begins in Zimbabwe, where Simela was born, and takes the reader along many of Simela's life journeys through places like Botswana and the state of Minnesota.

The book's story ends at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where Simela studied to earn his doctoral degree in medicine. The author shares the financial, racial and societal hurdles he overcame during his life to get to where he is now, in order to inspire the same determination and drive in his readers' lives.
