Dorthina Barrios, a homeschooled teenager from Arizona who has been inventing creatures since she was seven, has completed her new book "Dreameya: The Lost City": a colorfully illustrated journey to find the home of an evil king in the company of a small-town gamer and a princess who was raised as an orphan.

Barrios's alternate world is portrayed in a way that is appealing to a variety of audiences. She skillfully employs adolescent heroes who are a multiplicity of elaborately described creatures, intense robotic concepts and a divisive battle between good and evil in order to breathe life into her planet Dreameya. Of her book, Barrios says, "It is a kid-friendly adventure that the whole family can enjoy."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Dorthina Barrios's fantasy tale pinpoints the lost city of Ketaria as the ruling point of the evil king Tario, whose flair for robotics has kept all who disagree with his right to rule at bay.

Princess Tina is the ultimate victim in the story of Tario's rise to power as his abduction of her parents when she was merely an infant marked the beginning of his reign. Platinum is a fourteen year old boy from the town of Tukowood whose curiosity has always been piqued by the legend of Tario's forceful takeover of Liberty Island.

When Platinum and his friends find a map that claims to divulge the location of Ketaria, he cannot resist the opportunity to engage in a real-life adventure. He and his friends head to the lost city where along the way he meets Princess Tina who is on her own quest to save her parents and avenge the wrongdoings to her family.

Readers who wish to experience this exciting work can purchase "Dreameya: The Lost City" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
