Although the story of Don F. Zullo's new book, "The Man Who Dared to Dream" (published by AuthorHouse), is fictional, it closely resembles Zullo's personal triumphs and adversities.

"The book," writes Zullo, "is my vehicle to express my remorse and guilt for making bad decisions as an adult, as well as a way to express how friendship, love and compassion for our fellow man can have their own reward and accolades."

"The Man Who Dared to Dream" tells the story of an elderly man haunted by past sins. Years before, he abandoned his children, and now embarks on a mission to right the wrong.

Zullo describes the spark for the book as being serendipitous.

"After returning home from a family affair, I was sitting in my chair and had the overwhelming urge to write something. Although I had no idea, when I touched my pencil to the sheet of paper and wrote the words, 'the old man sat alone.' The rest of the story followed as though it had already been written."

Zullo hopes his book inspires readers. "No matter what our past circumstances, one can find forgiveness, love and friendship," he shares. "And, in the ultimate end of our time, if we believe and pray, we will reach that place of eternal peace."
