In "Dobbin, Our Favourite Pony: Dobbin and the Little Red Squirrel" (published by Trafford Publishing), author Dim Flaxenwick's new children's book, readers follow the adventures of Dobbin as he helps a lost squirrel find his way home.

"This is the perfect short story for pre-schoolers," says Flaxenwick. "It is easy to understand and houses a moral. Although the story is about a pony and its mother, the moral is very much human."

Dobbin, the kindest pony anyone could have the privilege to meet, loves to help others. When a little red squirrel gets lost, Dobbin finds himself in a predicament: should he help the little squirrel like his conscious is telling him, or should he wait for his mother to get back?

An excerpt from "Dobbin, Our Favourite Pony:"

"Dobbins´ mum tells the beautiful pony, I have to take the cart to market today with the farmer, He has so many wonderful vegetables to sell. So you are a big boy now, l think you will be fine alone in our field, but promise me that if you play jumping over the fence, you must NOT go far away from the fence. You may get lost."
