In "Love's Labyrinthine: Five Stories about Love's Twists and Turns" (published by iUniverse), author Debbie Zello's new collection of romantic short stories, readers follow five sets of very different people from all walks of life as they meet, fall in love and live.

"Love comes in many different forms," says Zello. "There is not a rule sheet nor are there any warnings. It just happens."

"Love's Labyrinthine" is a collection of stories that explores the theme of love from many angles and situations: high school romance, forbidden love, the bad boy complex, a eulogy, past life and personal assistant. Each story brings a tantalizing element of mischief into the idea of love as Zello pushes past logical ideas and creates her own from scratch.

An excerpt from "Love Interrupted" in "Love's Labyrinthine":

"As I closed my locker door and turned, I saw Brandon for the first time. He was walking down the hall with two other boys, talking. I was immediately drawn to his eyes and his smile. He was tall, about six feet, with beautiful chocolate brown hair and hazel eyes. I watched him walk past me and round the corner before my friend; Missy nudged me back to the present. 'Got a thing for football players?' 'I never thought so, but that one has possibilities.'"
