About the Author
Terressa Kennedy currently resides in the Houston area. Her book, "My Mother Smiled Down From Heaven Today," is a collection of poetry written by her mother during her lifetime. On April 3, 2003, her mother lost her three year battle to Inflammatory Breast Cancer, but not before passing these treasures on to the one person who cared for her throughout it all, her daughter. Kennedy says she plans to donate a portion of all profits from the sale of the book to Operation Gratitude, as well as the Green Beans Coffee Company for their Cup of Joe for a Joe program for the programs they provide to service members, veterans and their families. She is currently working on the composition of other writings as well as the promotion of various works of art left to her by her mother.
