Author Cynthia Alika Rose presents an encouraging and empowering resource for young women completing high school and starting out on their own with the publication of her new book, "With Your Own Heart and Hands: Wisdom for Young Women Ages 18-25" (published by Balboa Press).

Rose encourages readers to pursue their passions and dreams in thoughtful, well-informed ways filled with self-love and confidence. She reminds young women that everything they need to make it through this passage of time is in their own hearts and hands. She presents interviews with several young women who provide readers with insight into the experiences and feelings of real young women in today's world.

"With Your Own Heart and Hands" covers everything from listening to one's intuition to creating a space in one's home that is positive and a true reflection of one's own inner light. It is written for every young woman, regardless of what she is doing after high school; it does not assume every young woman will go to college.

"I want readers to take away the idea that they are powerful and can write a wonderful script for their lives using their strengths, reflecting on their values, listening to their own heart and intuition," author says. "I want them most of all to learn to love and respect themselves and to have an understanding that there are many resources and supports available to them. They are not alone."
