Author Crystal Black Cochran launches a new marketing campaign to further spread the message about global warming contained in her 2013 book, "Dear Mr. President: What is CO2?" (published by AuthorHouse).

A concise and illustrated story, "Dear Mr. President" originated from a simple poem that Cochran wrote on Earth Day in 2012. The illustrations were provided by Travis Cunningham, a young artist who was born without arms and draws with his feet. At the conclusion of Cochran's story is a collection of poetry written by a class of fifth grade students at Cochran's daughter's school, where Cochran spoke about the process of writing "Dear Mr. President."

Following the collection of poetry in "Dear Mr. President," Cochran provides readers with a series of facts and possible ways that readers - even at a young age and all by themselves - can aid in lessening the harmful effects of global warming on the Earth.

"The concept is to unearth the capacity of our youth and remind them how to positively create the change needed melodically," Cochran says. "The main and only character is the young boy because it only takes one person to make a difference."
