CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif.

Back then, author Caren S.Dillman believes that her only real value was in being a sexual object unworthy of love and living daily in that shame. This objectification and sexual abuse impacted her life as a mother and a wife. Nevertheless, she was able to find her path to wholeness again.

"I Lost My Marbles" (published by AuthorHouse) is her personal story of how damaging it was for her as a child to be sexually objectified in society and in her family, and to be sexually abused and betrayed. In this book, she shares her struggle to find her worth and value when she believed she was not good enough. She demonstrates the journey she had to take to find her way out of shame and to a firm belief that she is good enough.

"I think readers will recognize themselves in my story and have hope that they do not have to remain stuck in their pain and shame. It also touches on a subject that is familiar to many but not always discussed openly. That is the too frequent occurrence of childhood sexual abuse by a family member," the author said.

In sharing her story in ' I Lost My Marbles," the author hopes and pray that others will walk away with at least a nugget of hope and faith that it is possible to heal fully. She believes that for every individual who holds on to his or her rage, insecurities, and wounds, there will be far more who are willing to choose the path of recovery.
