C. D. Roberts, a retired medical transcriptionist/secretary, has completed her book "Walk Along the Rhine": a gripping and potent mystery novel filled with dark secrets and treacherous plots.

When asked about the inspiration for the work, Roberts said: "My inspiration for this book came from an 80-plus-year young lady who still enjoys a good murder mystery. When she found out that I have other books already published, she requested that I write a murder mystery for her to enjoy."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, C. D. Roberts' poignant tale is full of twists and turns. This captivating story is an absolute page-turner, sure to keep the reader guessing at all times.

Picture it: Germany, 1942, toward the end of World War II. Major Helen Travis, a young American Army nurse, has been chosen by an unknown person to be killed. Reason? He or she could be jealous of Major Travis's ability to take command of critical situations, dealing with them with dedication, determination, and compassion. Then again, it could be as simple as the unknown person's mission to rid the world of one more woman. Perhaps the unknown person has no reason at all.

Readers who wish to experience this gripping work can purchase "Walk Along the Rhine" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
