Books-A-Million will present a special author event with Joe Buck, FOX sportscaster and lead voice behind the year's biggest games - the World Series and the upcoming Super Bowl - on Wednesday, November 23 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the launch of his debut memoir, "Lucky Bastard: My Life, My Dad, and the Things I'm Not Allowed to Say on TV." The event will take place at the AMC Grapevine Mills 30, located at 3150 Grapevine Mills Parkway, and will include a book signing and Q&A session.

During this special event, Buck will be joined by close friend and legendary quarterback-turned FOX sportscaster Troy Aikman for a gregarious Q&A session about sports, life and "Lucky Bastard," Buck's self-deprecating memoir about life inside - and outside - the broadcast booth. Honestly written, the candid memoir shares Buck's opinions on working round the clock, as well as on the criticism that comes with the job. Despite viewers who "don't like Joe Buck," his lighthearted outlook proves there's more than meets the eye.

The humorous memoir also gives readers a fascinating look into what it was like growing up in the shadow of his celebrity father Jack Buck, the undisputed and much beloved voice of the St. Louis Cardinals, and what life is really like in the spotlight during sports' biggest moments. From Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire's historic home run record battle to the emotional 2001 World Series between the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks, as well as New York Giants David Tyree's infamous catch during Super Bowl XLII against the New England Patriots, Buck gives readers the ultimate behind-the-scenes sports highlight reel.

Wristbands are required to attend the author event and are now available online at joebuckbam.eventbrite.com or at the Grapevine Mills Books-A-Million store. Wristbands include admission to the event, as well as an autographed copy of the book, which will be distributed to attendees at the conclusion of the event. Following the Q&A, Buck will remain at the venue for up to two hours to personalize copies for the first 200 attendees to arrive. Photos are allowed during the Q&A session, but posed photos with Buck and Aikman will not be available.
