Whether they're creating lesson plans, attending PTA meetings or leading afterschool tutorials, teachers of all academic levels are true class acts. To acknowledge their hard work and the vital role they play in communities across the world, Books-A-Million is hosting its annual Educator Week now through Friday, April 8. During this weeklong tribute, teachers can save 25 percent on any purchase of classroom items in-store or online and even have the chance to win scholastic sweepstakes prizes!

As part of Educator Week, teachers who bring their school ID to a Books-A-Million store location will have the opportunity to register for their official Educator Card, which grants them access to benefits and discounts offered not only during Educator Week, but also throughout the year!

"Educators do so much for the students, schools and communities they serve; yet, their central role is often underappreciated and overlooked," said Misty Fontenot, Senior Vice President of Operations for Books-A-Million. "Their hard work deserves to be recognized, and Educator Week allows us to say thank you for instilling a love of lifelong learning in the next generations of our youth and beyond."

There are also a variety of sweepstake prizes up for grabs all month long, including one $1,000 Books-A-Million gift card, four $250 Books-A-Million gift cards, a DK STEM Library and Technology Gift Card for the classroom valued at $5,000 and a 180 Days of Teaching + Summer Fun Shell Education Prize Bundle valued at over $600. Teachers can enter to win now through April 30 by visiting booksamillion.com/sweepstakes.
