Book Explores Techniques for EXAMINING REASONING

Today's teachers know that students must be highly proficient at recognizing, examining, and explaining flawed logic to meet Common Core State Standards and other college and career readiness standards. In this research-based book, part of the Marzano Center Essentials for Achieving Rigor education series, authors Robert J. Marzano and Tracy L. Ocasio explore seven specific techniques for teaching students how to examine reasoning. The authors provide specific recommendations for teaching students how to state claims, support claims with evidence, and identify flawed logic, with the ultimate goal of deepening students' understanding of content and increasing student achievement.

It also explores modifications and adaptations to help educators meet the needs of various student populations.
