Billy Springer, an ex-teacher and business owner, has completed his new book, "My Enemy In Vietnam": an engaging and dramatic story written to expose the racial issues in Vietnam that no one ever saw on the evening news.

Mr. Springer relays his trials from the war, stating, "I feared for my life every day, not from the Viet Cong. I had to watch my back 24-7 from men who wore the same uniform as me."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Billy Springer's revealing tale is the real story of the author's personal experience in Vietnam.

Contrary to popular belief, Vietnam was not a war of two countries fighting one another. This book was written to expose the racial issues in Vietnam that US audiences never saw on the evening news. Black men feared for their lives every day, but not from the Viet Cong, from the very men they were serving with. Mr. Springer shares that, at first, it made him bitter. He failed to find any connection between the racial tensions in the USA and black troops serving in Vietnam. How could they be held responsible for the conduct of other people more than 10,000 miles away?

Later, he realized that Vietnam made him stronger as well as mistrustful. He felt free in Vietnam; he could go anyplace he wanted without any fear whatsoever. He was called "soul brother" and told almost daily that the Vietnamese and black people had the same enemy.

Readers who wish to experience this unique and provocative work can purchase "My Enemy In Vietnam" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
