Three Gen Xers risk their lives to uncover and expose a global conspiracy to defraud the nation of trillions of dollars in an operation funded by war profiteering and illegal drug sales. That's the plot of novel "Blood Profit$: The Lithium Conspiracy," a political thriller written by James N. Patrick Sr. and J. Victor Tomaszek.

Patrick will sign copies of "Blood Profit$" at 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Trans-Pecos, 915 Wyckoff Ave., Ridgewood, Queens, N.Y.; Patrick also will sell and sign books from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Brooklyn Book Festival, Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza, 209 Joralemon St., Brooklyn, N.Y.

"Blood Profit$: The Lithium Conspiracy" is the first book by first-time author Patrick and five-time novelist Tomaszek. The next book in the series could be released next year.

"We started writing the books via email several years ago," Patrick said. "The main characters of the book face ethical and moral decisions throughout the story."

The book is available at www.Roundfire-Books.com and other major book sellers, including www.Amazon.com.
