Merawyn Harrison fought the trauma of divorce with all her might, being particularly heart broken on account of her two young boys. Writing became the cathartic vessel which allowed her to emerge from society's unrealistic conventions and a cocooned upbringing. The result is a stunningly evocative collection of poems that offer enriching insights on love and loss.

"Poems of a Divorcee" (published by Xlibris) reflect deeper aspects of her life and inner Self. In this small book, she expresses passionate thoughts and views about individuation and true relating and the happy sharing of personalities. These poems seek to share with, and empower women who are or have been in similar situations. The author's feminist views are distinct in her lyrical style as she unveils her insights with raw audacity and sincere vision.

An excerpt from "Poems of a Divorcee"
"The captain reads the Old Testament, Where the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, And there is to be no hurting or destroying. "

Soulfully edifying in its entirety, "Poems of a Divorcee" is a powerful testament of the power of the human spirit to endure and rise up from life's often grueling odds.
