Alvernia University Announces 2015-16 Lecture Series Events

Alvernia University is offering a full slate of authors, public speakers, and thought-provoking topics for its 2015-16 Lecture Series on Main Campus. Events begin with a celebration of the university's Founders Day on Sept. 17, and continue through April 2016. All Alvernia Lecture Series events are free and open to the public.

Fall 2015 Events:

Founders Day Lecture on "Declaration on Religious Liberty," with Angela Carmella

First-Year Seminar Lecture with Wes Moore - Author, youth advocate, Army combat veteran, social entrepreneur and host of "Beyond Belief" on the Oprah Winfrey Network. His first book, "The Other Wes Moore," became an instant New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller. Sept. 29, 5 p.m., Physical Education Center

Lit Fest Feature: Lisa Scottoline - Author of a dozen legal suspense novels, all of which have appeared on bestseller lists, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly and Publisher's Weekly.
