The Un-Common Theatre Company has announced its 2013-14 season of Improv Soup Shows and Soup Jrs. Workshop Series.

Improv Soup, the Un-Common Theatre Co.'s improvisational comedy troupe, is made up of teenagers from all over Southeastern Massachusetts and is directed by Improv Soup Alumni Colleen Murphy (Mansfield, MA)!!

The Soupians perform a fun and interactive show for the whole family one Friday a month at 7:30 P.M. at the Burrell School Auditorium, 16 Morse St. in Foxboro, MA. Tickets to a night of fabulous improvisational comedy cost a mere three bucks for students and seniors and five bucks for adults!

This year's Troupe consists of:

From Foxboro, MA: James Donoghue and Sophie Philibert
From Mansfield, MA: Shannon Carney, Patrick Driscoll, Derek Lynch, and McKenzie Shea
From Norwood, MA: Laura Ailinger
From Sharon, MA: Sam Fromkin, Julia Getz, Noah Habbe and Ethan Parets.
From Sherborn, MA: Franci DuMar
From Wrentham, MA: Dan Regnier

The dates for the 2013-14 Season of Shows are:

October 18th, 2013
November 15th, 2013
December 20th, 2013
January 1th, 2014
February 7th, 2014
March 14th, 2014
April 11th, 2014
May 16th, 2014
June 13th, 2014

Also kids in grades 7 - 10 can learn to Improv like the Soupians by joining the annual Soup Jrs. Workshop Series.

The 8 session workshop series will be taught by our illustrious Director, Improv Soup Alumni Colleen Murphy, aided by experienced Improv Soup members and will allow budding improvisers to experience the excitement of being part of an Improv troupe. Participants will learn basic Improv skills, learn to work as a team and will perform a show for friends and family at the last session.

Eligible students must be in grades 7-10 and the cost for the workshop will be $100.

All classes will be held at St. Marks Church, 116 South St, Foxboro, MA with a show being held at the South Foxboro Community Club, 382 South St, Foxboro, MA.

A maximum of fifteen students will be able to take part in the 8 session workshop series and will be chosen on a first come basis. You will receive an email with a registration form to fill out and will be expected to pay the $100 workshop fee before the first class.

The class schedule is as follows:

Sundays October 20 & 27
Sundays November 3, 10, 17 & 24,
Sundays December 1 & 8 (Show for family and friends)

All classes and the show will be from 4 - 5pm.

Please note that Improv Soup Junior members are not guaranteed a spot in the Improv Soup Troupe, but will be eligible to audition in April 2014 and will have the advantage of Improv experience going into this and future auditions.
