Teri Dale Hansen & Nat Chandler to Perform 'Swingin' Holiday Celebration'

Broadway's Teri Dale Hansen (The Boys from Syracuse, West End's Show Boat) and Nat Chandler (The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Phantom of the Opera) will appear in concert with a trio of musicians led by Mike Petry on Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00pm. The pair will perform Swingin' Holiday Celebration (produced by Broadway Pops International) featuring holiday favorites by Ellington, Guaraldi, Fitzgerald, Mercer and more.

From Opera to Broadway, Teri Hansen has received International recognition for her crossover abilities as a singing actress. Internationally recognized as an interpreter of Weill, Miss. Hansen began her career "Rose" in the film version of Kurt Weill's STREET SCENE (BRAVO! Channel and for the Premiere production in Berlin at the Theatre Des Westens, Francesca Zambello Director). She also starred in the world premiere of BROADWAY DREAMS in March of 2008 as the gala finale of the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau, Germany and was the first American ever to perform at the Kurt Weill Festival (Dessau) with Lys Symonette at the piano in 1995. She returned again in 2001 to reprise her role of "Rose" for the world premiere of "Street Scenes" and had sung Weill concerts all over the world including three special 100-year anniversary celebration concerts of Weill at Abravenal Hall with the Utah Symphony Orchestra. Miss Hansen made her Broadway debut in THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and starred in London's West End as "Magnolia" in Hal Prince's Tony award winning production of SHOW BOAT. She has concertized with Marvin Hamlisch nationwide and has starred in the Broadway national tours of THE MUSIC MAN as "Marian Paroo", "Guenevere" in CAMELOT and as "Magnolia" in SHOW BOAT.

Well known to theatre and concert audiences around the country, on Broadway, he was seen in the title role of Sir Percival Blakeney in the Tony nominated musical, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and played many performances to great acclaim. Recent roles include: King Arthur in Spamalot, Fred/Petruchio in Kiss Me Kate, district attorney Frederick Katzmann in Anton Coppola's new American opera, Sacco and Venzetti, and Shaunard in La Boheme. He played the role of Roy Darwin in Off-Broadway's Counsellor at Law starring John Rubinstein and toured nationally as Lancelot in Camelot starring Robert Goulet. Mr. Chandler starred as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera directed by Harold Prince and toured with Sarah Brightman in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Other National Tours include Sondheim's Into the Woods, and Mr. Chandler's first professional job in musical theatre, Lun Tha in The King and I starring Yul Brynner. Other Off-Broadway venues include the prestigious 92nd Street Y's Lyrics and Lyricists series, City Center Encores! production of The Ziegfeld Follies of 1936 (cast recording on Sony Records), and created the role of Tony Toscanini in the fabled Tales of Tinseltown. Recently, Mr. Chandler has performed the roles of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Miles Gloriosus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for which he received a Kevin Kline nomination for Best Actor in a Musical, and a very special Carousel in which he played Billy Bigelow with Shirley Jones as Nettie Fowler, all to critical acclaim.
