Steps Off Broadway to Present LES MISERABLES, Begin. 4/19

Steps Theatre will perform the true modern classic epic tale based on Victor Hugo's novel of broken dreams, passion and redemption, set against a nation in the throes of revolution.

This special production of Les Miserables boasts a cast of 40 local fine vocalists and actors. Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, LES MISERABLES is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit and features one of the most memorable musical scores of all time. Set In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter. His world-view shattered, Javert is at odds and Valjean at last attains the peace he has sought for so long.

Epic, grand and uplifting, LES MISERABLES packs an emotional wallop that has thrilled audiences all over the world. LES MISERABLES runs April 24th and 25th at 7:30 PM and April 19th and 26th t 2:00 PM at Steps Off Broadway's own theatre located at 799 South Main Street, Bellingham, MA 02019. There will be an "Opening Night Gala" on Saturday, April 18that 6:00 PM. Tickets for Gala night are $25.00 (plus the service fee) and will include beverages, cheese, and snacks before the show.
