Press notes state, "It has been a long and remarkably winding road for the English singer-songwriter Spottiswoode and his six Enemies. WILD GOOSECHASE EXPEDITION, the new CD from Spottiswoode & His Enemies, is the band’s most shamelessly eclectic recording since their debut eponymous release over a decade ago. It tracks the journey of a rock band on a doomed tour. Produced for Old Soul Records by Kenny Siegal (Chris Whitley, Joseph Arthur, Johnny Society), the CD careens from balls-out rock, novelty blues and haunting balladry to acerbic sometimes tongue-in cheek social commentary.

WILD GOOSECHASE EXPEDITION is the band’s fifth release. Since their 1998 debut, Spottiswoode has put out a string of records, performed residencies at the city’s clubs, played Lincoln Center, toured the country, and crossed the ocean.

Spottiswoode’s songs have been covered by many musicians and featured in numerous films. He wrote and directed THE GENTLEMAN, a semi-autobiographical short film, which played for several years on The Independent Film Channel. More recently, three Enemies songs were included in Matthew Chapman’s THE LEDGE, starring Liv Tyler and Terrence Howard, which premiered in competition at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Amy Correia hails from and currently resides in the small town of Lakeville, MA. Her father owns the local barbershop. Correia delivers songs with a raw power that’s both vulnerable and fierce. That musical honesty has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits and Michelle Shocked and The New York Times calls her “a singular talent.” After two releases on EMI, Amy Correia recently raised more than $35K to produce and release her third record, You Go Your Way. Correia recently returned home from a 28-city tour of the U.S., opening for legendary frontwoman of The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde. Hynde and her musical partner, JP Jones, hand-picked Correia to open for their new project after seeing Correia perform live. (Her live show is not to be missed!) Correia has also toured extensively with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Marc Cohn (“Walking in Memphis”), opening shows and performing as a member of his band, appearing on Good Morning America, Ellen Degeneres, The View and The Today Show. For more information: amycorreia.com.
