The Wild Party is a gritty, sexy musical by Michael John LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe that tells the story of vaudeville vixen "Queenie" and the party she is throwing for her eclectic entourage of friends. The booze and flirtations flow freely, until the long night of debauchery leads to the sobering reminder that no party lasts forever. LaChiusa's sensual and captivating score brings to vivid life this story based on the 1928 narrative poem by Joseph Moncure March.

Produced by Sharman Altshuler, directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone, with music direction by Dan Rodriguez, the cast of Moonbox Productions' presentation of The Wild Party features Katie Anne Clark* (Queenie), Todd Yard (Burr), Cristhian Mancinas Garcia (Black), Shana Dink* (Dolores), Carla Martinez (Kate), Ricardo Holguin (Jackie), Davron Monroe* (Phil), Terrell Foster-James (Oscar), Steven Martin (Eddie), Allison Russell (Mae), Hannah Drake (Nadine), Meredith Stypinski (Madeleine), Janelle Yull (Sally), Ray O'Hare (Gold), and Michael Herschberg (Goldberg). *Member of Actors' Equity Association.

With each show, Moonbox Productions partners with a local non-profit doing important work in the greater Boston area. Moonbox gives the non-profit partner a percentage of the proceeds as well as access to its audiences, and visibility on its website and all promotional materials, in order to help them raise awareness of their cause, create connections within the community, and increase the reach and impact of their work. For the production of The Wild Party, Moonbox will be partnering with JazzBoston. JazzBoston is dedicated to building and serving audiences for jazz music, fostering and expanding opportunities for jazz musicians, and raising Boston's profile as one of the world's great jazz cities. Educating audiences of all ages about the music is at the heart of their mission.

"The Wild Party is a hard-hitting show: it's a bold and edgy narrative, it has an absolutely fabulous jazz score by Michael John LaChiusa, and as a jazz-era period piece, it is a designer's dream. Our team has been diving in headlong on the project, and we are all so excited to finally be bringing the show to the BCA," said Sharman Altshuler, Producer and Artistic Director for Moonbox Productions. "We are also thrilled to be partnering with JazzBoston! This organization has done so much for the performing arts in this town. It is a pleasure and honor to work with them and to help spread the word about all the great things they do for the jazz community," said Altshuler.
