The Little Theatre of Fall River closes its annual Firebarn subscription season with the rollicking comedy, Catholic School Girls. The production runs August 18 to 28. Thursday performances are at 7:30; Friday and Saturday at 8; and Sunday at 7. Shows are at the Firebarn Theatre, corner of Prospect Street and Highland Avenue in Fall River.

The play centers on four schoolgirls coming of age in the 1960s at St. George's Catholic School. It spans eight years of their lives, from the first day of first grade to the last day of eighth grade. The actors playing the schoolgirls also alternate as nuns. This a must-see for anyone who has attended Catholic school; anyone who has ever questioned his or her faith; or anyone would like to know more about the inner workings of the Catholic school system back in the day. Those attending should be prepared to laugh - loud and often!

Catholic School Girls features Lynne Dandeneau, Cheryl Field, Rosemary Riley, and Katie van der Sleesen. The play is directed by Betty Teixeira, with Maryann Goulart as Stage Manager.

Tickets are $16, with discounts available for students, seniors, and children. For reservations and information, call the Little Theatre box office at (508) 675-1852 or check out the website at www.littletheatre.net.
