Leigh Silverman, Carolyn Cantor, Jean-Michele Gregory and Cape Cod Theatre Project's Artistic Director Hal Brooks will be developing new plays this summer with The Cape Cod Theatre Project.

Leigh Silverman ("Chinglish", "Well") will team with playwright Bess Wohl to work on her newest play, AMERICAN HERO, a hilarious tale of abandoned workers at a fast food restaurant who will do whatever it takes to keep their jobs. AMERICAN HERO will be presented July 12, 13 and 14.

Carolyn Cantor ("After the Revolution", "The Talls") will work with Neil LaBute on THE MONEY SHOT, a comedy in which two Hollywood actors must find a way to tell their respective partners about the love scene they are filming the following day. Cantor previously directed LaBute's IN A DARK DARK PLACE at MCC. Presentations of THE MONEY SHOT are July 26, 27 and 28.

Jean-Michele Gregory ("The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs", "How Theater Failed America") continues her collaboration with Mike Daisey. The master storyteller returns to CCTP to devise a brand new piece. Presentations of Mike Daisey's New Work are July 5, 6 and 7.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks will direct CHRYSALIS, by Joshua Allen, a darkly comic coming-of-age story about Violet, a precocious young girl in love with her step-brother, Ian. With their parents mysteriously vanished, who can Violet turn to when a new woman enters Ian's life? Staged readings for CHRYSALIS are July 19, 20 and 21.

All presentations of staged readings are at 8pm at Falmouth Academy in Falmouth, MA. Tickets (suggested donation of $20) may be purchased by calling the box office at (508) 457-4242 or online at www.capecodtheatreproject.org
