Berkshire Theatre Group is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a $25,000 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank® to support BTG PLAYS! Year-Round Education Program.

BTG PLAYS! Year-Round Education Program contains 10 individual programs, and differs from other educational programs in the region through its consistency and its broad reach. Of the 16,000 school children in Berkshire County, BTG PLAYS! serves 13,000. This means that 81% of all Berkshire County schoolchildren participate in our education program. By offering In-School, After-School, and Summertime programs, we reach a wide cross-section of youth. Our After-School activities help low-income families by extending the school day, thus providing a safe place for their children to spend their after-school hours. We also provide a safe place for children during the summer with our Summertime Classes and our Annual Community Theatre Production. The longevity of our program has given principals and parents confidence that our choice of curriculum and staff provide added value for their students.

Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire remarks, "We're deeply thankful for TD Charitable Foundation's grant to BTG PLAYS!. With this support, we may continue to serve Berkshire County schoolchildren, showing students how to be a part of a creative, thriving community. We are grateful that TD Charitable Foundation supports the transformative work we do through our education program."
