Boise Contemporary Theater announced today that, due to popular demand, a special Family Holiday Extension of its current hit, A Nighttime Survival Guide has been added.

The extension is geared for families wanting something to do together in the days leading up to the Christmas holidays, right after the Boise School District closes down for winter break.

"We are thrilled to see the positive reaction from our audience to this magical show," Interim Managing Director Adam Park said. "The shows have been selling out and we're hearing from parents that they'd like to have more matinees available. We hope these new performances will give families an opportunity for a fun and festive holiday outing before Christmas."

The special Family Holiday Extension of Survival Guide adds two new dates and four shows to the run. On both Thursday, December 22nd and Friday, December 23rd there is now a 2 p.m. matinee and an evening show that begins at 7 p.m., an hour earlier than usual to accommodate families with younger children.

Free hot cocoa and cider will be available in the lobby for all four shows. The play is recommended for children 6 and older due to some mildly scary themes and situations.
