This holiday season, Alley Repertory Theater presents the off-Broadway favorite DISENCHANTED! by Dennis T. Giacino.

From November 26 to December 17, the Visual Arts Collective will host a cabaret of royal women who are sick of pop-culture princess tales. Snow White and her sisterhood will reclaim their stories through songs like "Big Tits" and "All I Want To Do is Eat" (Haagen-Dazs.)

"Like many women, I fell in love with stories as a child that, upon reflection as an adult, turn out to be pretty messed up," said Artistic Director Buffie Main. "With this show, we can still celebrate our love for Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast, while laughing at the absurdity of using 'Beauty' as their defining characteristic."

DISENCHANTED! is the second show in Alley Rep's 2016/2017 series, Kill the Darlings. The series opened with THE TOTALITARIANS, a twisted political satire. In February, Jodi Echelberger stars in the one-man show, BUYER & CELLAR, which takes inspiration from the idiosyncrasies of the real Barbra Streisand.

To keep up with the series, theatergoers can follow Alley Rep on Facebook and Instagram. Tickets are available now at alleyrep.org.
