WOOHOO to Lili Taylor and John Cullum. BOOHOO to Jena Malone.
Elliot is an incredible director. Can't wait to see this show.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Hmmm. Not my favorite O'Neill by several miles, but interesting cast. Veddy interesting.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

I'm ashamed to admit I've never seen a live performance of Mourning Becomes Electra (only the not-very-good movie version with Rosalind Russell, whom I generally adore, but not in this). Last full-scaled professional production in NYC was back in 1972 (??) at the Circle in the Square and I was in Chicago at the time. Colleen Dewhurst was the Christine and must have been dynamite. I believe they did some cutting to get it into workable length without having to have a dinner break. Any of you out there see that production? Colleen was my favorite actress of all time.
Playbill answered my questions: Taylor will be Christine, Malone will be Lavinia, and, a surprise to me, Cullum with be Seth. As I recall, Seth isn't all that meaty a role -- he's one of the neighbors. I guess the big questions are: who will play Orrin and who will play Ezra?
