Wow...so NAIVE and STUPID.
You're comparing/thinking "i'm gonna be an actor on broadway" to "i'm gonna be a teacher."
The correct turn should've been I want to audition for broadway or I dream about being on broadway. You don't just wake up one day and go, yup that's it..i'm gonna be on broadway!!! If that's the way you think my friend you're in for a rude wake up call. Its by far the most heartbreaking, cruel, frustrating, HARD, not for everybody career. That's why you have to train years and years to prepare yourself for the hard blows you will eventually encounter. Oh and sidenote, even some of the most talented unknowns don't make it. Actors are out of a job 90-99% out of the time.

I am already kind of sorry I followed the thread. I took one look at that mug and I immediately sent a copy of it straight to Mel Brooks! Why waste all of that talented BS on Broadway? This guy is going straight to the top!
I mean Stockton!! In ten minutes I can be there and gone, it's really that big! If you blink, I swear, you already missed the exit!
Oh well. I just don't know how Hollywood missed him? Too busy doing stunt work for Stockton I suppose. Unfortunately, too boring to even get stuff like Friday the 13th to shoot there I'm afraid. Unless of course they need a couple of trees or branches for the set.
This guy. He just has to come and post here because we all know this is where all of the big Broadway Producers come to chill out. Mostly though to jack our threads and call us names behind our backs for dissing their shows but the big secret is, they are really lurking around, checking our avatars looking for the next big chum..I mean star to sucker into one of their huge never ending contracts!
I say then, Party On Kevin. If I lived in Stockton, I know I would have to come here at least once in awhile to just pretend I am out of the booneys now and then. Let us know though when you make it to Sacra-tomato though! Or maybe thats too kiddie for you. Better run off to San Francisco. I hear from the inside, everyone who graduates here is heading for the big Apple, so surely you can get a lead in The Color Purple! How well do you play ethnic parts? Doesn't matter! This guy has it all. I'll make a note to email Oprah too!

Because even if you're already talented, lessons improve on your talent and good teachers also teach you how you how to behave in a professional environment.
Speaking honestly and not trying to be hurtful, your attitude right now will really turn people off.There's a fine line between confidence and cockiness. Confidence is quiet. Cockiness is a loud pain in the ass that people can smell from a mile away.
Humility is a great great thing. You may just have to learn it the hard way though.

There's one chick on here who obviously doesn't know how to act cause she says that shes doing off Broadway and regional....why would anyone want to do that?

When I come to New York after I graduate from college, I'll talk to the producers of MARY POPPINS and tell them I am perfect for Bert's part. I have the movie and have seen it a lot of times.
Well, if that's the standard, I MUST be next in line to play Mary Poppins herself. Let's both go visit the producers when you graduate and tell them that we've seen the movie so many times that we are obviously right for the part. Brilliant.
