"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...
"Every day has the potential to be the greatest day of your life." - Lin-Manuel Miranda
"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
I assume Gemignani and Morgain Lewis will cover George and Dot/Marie?
EXTREMELY optomistic about this production. Looking forward to it!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I saw Mary Beth Peil in 33 Variations this summer in DC. She was a joy to watch in an intense and moving play. She took on the physicality of progressive ALS in a most beleivable way and made the academic life seem something to which one would actually aspire!
I was already looking forward to this before, and then someone last week hinted to me that Alex might be in it, but now that everyone's set I'm like, break a beer bottle over someone's head and fling the cat across the room excited.
Looking at that list I couldn't figure out who would be, and I guess she's the closest in age to being appropriate for the part; but I can't say I'm excited about her as Dot. On the upside, I can't wait to see Jenna Russell. You can't win them all...
Other than that... fantastic.
Good to see Brynn O'Malley on board, too!
Andrew, tonight isn't about you! It isn't even about me!!! - [FD]
I still think Molaskey is a pretty boring choice for Yvonne. Mary Beth Peil should make an interesting Old Lady though, and David Turner is good even in the smallest roles.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Kelsey Fowler lands her second Broadway gig at age, what, 10? Good for her!
I adore former MILLIE gals Jessica Grove and Anne L. Nathan. Glad to see them back on Broadway.
And I love me some David Turner. I think we can all say that he has officially outlived his Winston days.
Congrats to all. I look forward to this production.
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

After Follies, SITPWG is my second favorite musical of all time, I couldnt possibly be more excited for this production! And now looking over the cast, wow this should be amazing. It cant get here soon enough for me
I'm a LITTLE confused as to why Gemignani is getting above the title billing as the Boatman. I understand Gemignani is getting a name with Sondheim shows, and he is the son of Paul. But I still don't see the Boatman as THAT big of a role.
