Funny. I was just talking about this on the Welcome Anthony thread.
Lately the RENT movie soundtrack has been my workout soundtrack. There are a lot of fast paced numbers, but also a lot of variety which is nice if you're working intervals.
If I am tired of RENT, Bright Lights, Big City is my other most common selection. For most of the same reasons as RENT.

I'm a lazy @$$, but if I were to ever work out, I'm sure stuff from RENT, Avenue Q, Wicked, and other upbeat, fast-paced, or intense showtunes would make it on my playlist.
show tunes ARE my workout playlist. I really live a sad existence, basically all i have ar showtunes, opera, with a little bit of oldies and jazz thrown in there. I should be studied.

Don't work out, but I listen to a lot of stuff on my Ipod when I clean the house. I like to dance to "What is this Feeling" around my kitchen with a mop.
Jim Caruso: You know, you are doing Wicked.
Stephanie J Block: I am!
Jim: Is anyone coming to that old thing?
"Nothing is an accident, We are free to have it all, We are what we want to be, It's in ourselves to rise or fall!!" - "Fortune Favors the Brave" from Aida - the love that never died
actually quite a bit .. i often listen to Rent when i work out.
Or Buffy the Musical :) hehe ... i am sure people would laugh if they find out cause i look soo jovial between sets then once the set starts i just go into my rage mode.
RENT, All Shook Up, and Hairpsray keep me going!!!

"They're singing, "Happy Birthday"
You just wanna lay down and cry
Not just another birthday, it's 30/90
Why can't you stay 29
Hell, you still feel like you're 22
Turn 30 in 1990
Bang! You're dead, what can you do?"

I've used the actors fund benefit CD (2 disc set) of "Dreamgirls" - I get so involved in the story time flies!) and, truth be told, I have added "City Lights" from "The Act" to many a workout for years! Next up will be the new RENT film CD I'm sure.
