I am no longer young and I was never beautiful. But I do keep fit and healthy, despite a heart attack 13 years ago this month. Since my early days, I have enjoyed daily exercise of some sort, usually a combination of walking/running, weights, aerobics. Sensible diet (vegan since my 20's). No alcohol or other recreational drugs, and no smoke. Fortunately I have shared my life for more than 50 years with a gentleman who also stays to this regimen.
So, how do you keep fit and healthy (or young and beautiful)?
Play tennis several times a week and jog about 5 miles when I run. I do stretching exercises to help with back that sometimes gives me problems. Eat sensibly but not a fanatic about my diet, some dessert is not a bad thing. Enjoy a few glasses of wine during the week with my wife. I have never smoked anything in my life. Since I like the outdoors, I always use sunscreen which helps my skin. Finally, I am fortunate enough to afford a few massages during the year which is a nice treat for the body.
