Some The Skivvies videos popped up on my YouTube feed. I'd never really paid much attention to them before but I watched a few  (Well, hellllllllo, Andy Karl wink wink)

Talent of the duo and their guests aside, do they have a following? It seems like a one-note joke carried too far. Though I suppose the purpose is not to see this as people in their underwear, but just really talented people in an intimate setting. Or maybe I'm missing something...what do people think of the duo?

Though I have to say the guy has some really awesome briefs.

It's a great novelty act- the combination of burlesque with oddball live instrumentation, comedy and the art of mashups. I saw them live in Pittsburgh a few years ago and I'm looking forward to seeing them again this Christmas.

How do they sell outside of NYC? I've always wondered if their appeal extended beyond 54 Below.

I see their shows in the city fairly often, especially when they have certain guests like Kevin Zak and Leslie Margherita. They're certainly sexy and have sexy guests but they're not trying to be Broadway Bares sexy.
