I'm very curious about this one.

^ Me too. There was a lot of good in it, in my opinion.  But, there weren't some good things either.

I'm on the fence to see this next month... I think some good reviews will convince me!  Wishing cast and crew a happy opening night!

I really hope this does well with the critics. While there are obvious book problems, the cast looks like they're really putting their heart and soul into this one.

Saw it last week. Am very interested in what critics will have to say.

I will say I give them kudos for tackling the subject matter and I really enjoyed the score.

What a great article. I so appreciate reading about the care that is going into this show. I think it definitely has its flaws, but this article definitely made me appreciate what I saw onstage just a little bit more. Here's to a happy and successful opening!

Ridge is such a goober. Why doesn't someone dress him better?

NJ.com, another positive review! http://www.nj.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2017/04/paper_mills_bandstand_is_even_better_on_broadway.html#incart_river_index

Amidst a sea of revivals and film adaptations on Broadway right now, "Bandstand" distinguishes itself with adventurous creativity and timely, fresh exploration of important themes. It is at bottom an excellent new musical full of wonderful performances and bold, finely crafted music. Here's hoping for a long run.

Huffington Post is also positive. Referring to it as "arguably the best new musical of the season."

I'm honestly a little shocked by some of these reviews. I found this show to be so incredibly middle of the road and bland. But I guess it really is speaking to some!

Time Out is postive as well (4/5 stars) https://www.timeout.com/newyork/theater/bandstand

Chicago Tribune is a bit more mixed than the others, but leans to a positive note: http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/theater/broadway/sc-bandstand-broadway-review-ent-0426-20170426-column.html

Deadline is positive, but kudos to them for acknowledging the problem of the completely white cast.

For those that have seen it on Broadway & at Papermill, what differences are there? I strongly disliked it at Papermill.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Lol, this may come as a surprise to Kevyn Morrow, but your point is well taken.
